The situation
Fifteen years of Salesforce, and what started as a CRM had become a cash register.
Multivista first implemented Salesforce fifteen years ago. Over time, a strategic platform turned into something brittle and full of legacy code nobody wanted to touch. A nightly third-party integration dumped hundreds of unvalidated records into the org, hitting storage limits and compounding a duplicate problem. The pricing calculator, built on old technology with bespoke logic buried inside it, had become a black box no one understood well enough to change.
The downstream effects piled up. Reps stopped using the system for live work and tracked deals off-platform. Marketing automation could not run cleanly against data it did not trust. The org stopped being a place people worked in and became a place they filed things into after the fact. Every year, Multivista renewed a significant Salesforce investment in a platform that had quietly become a liability.
The trigger point
A diagnostic scan. An honest conversation. A decision to start over.
Multivista ran a diagnostic scan of their environment. OverSushi reviewed the results alongside their team and opened a frank discussion. The original plan was to renovate in place. As the full picture came into focus, the conversation shifted, and the executive team and OverSushi made a collective decision: stop trying to fix it, and start over with a greenfield reimplementation on a modern architecture.
OverSushi ran Code Analyzer across the existing org and mapped every line of logic in the pricing calculator, identifying what had to be rebuilt, what could be preserved, and where the risk lived. The new foundation was designed not just for today’s workflows, but to give Multivista real room to innovate, including the ability to layer AI on top of a clean, structured platform.
The build
Four parallel workstreams. Three senior resources. Powered by AI.
- A redesigned data model, stripped back to only what the business needed, replacing legacy Apex with modern Salesforce Flows.
- A rebuilt integration, re-architected as an event-driven, on-demand pull that users control directly, replacing the uncontrolled nightly fire hose.
- A new pricing calculator, rebuilt as a modular Lightning Web Component: flexible, fast, and maintainable.
- A clean data foundation, fully deduplicated with our data-cleansing tooling, and marketing automation reimplemented against data the team could finally trust.
AI-assisted tooling ran throughout. Work that would have taken hours in a traditional engagement, generating permission sets, user configurations, and public groups, was done in minutes.
Traditional model versus OverSushi
Go live
A global system. Four markets online in a single coordinated cutover.
The old system shut down on a Friday evening; the new org went live by Sunday. Canada, the United States, and Europe came online together, with Australia following after its time-zone window. Franchise owners who had resisted the CRM for years noticed the difference immediately: a fast pricing engine, quotes built and finalized without leaving the platform, native multi-currency support, and, for the first time, accurate pipeline and forecasting visibility for corporate.
The proof point
A traditional rebuild of this scope would have meant 6+ resources, phased requirements gathering, and a go-live seven months out or more. OverSushi delivered the same scope in four months with three experts, augmented by AI. It is the clearest proof that lean, expert-driven, AI-powered delivery is not a compromise. It is a better model.
We were working against a very aggressive timeline to launch a new Salesforce instance after making the strategic decision to move away from enhancing our legacy environment and instead build a new org from the ground up. As someone relatively new to both Salesforce and the company, I was faced with a steep learning curve, and OverSushi’s deep expertise proved invaluable throughout the project. Their team provided practical guidance, helped us navigate complex requirements, and played a key role in delivering a successful implementation on schedule. Following the launch, we have continued to partner with OverSushi on enhancements and new functionality, and they remain a trusted extension of our team as our Salesforce platform evolves.
